U2 360 Degree Tour

The band’s official website that is U2.com has announced the today confirmation that the U2 360 Degree Tour. The U2 360 Degree Tour opens in Barcelona at the famous Nou Camp Stadium. The U2 360 Degree Tour starts in Barcelona on the 30th June this year. The U2 360 Degree Tour is sponsored by the famous BlackBerry Company. The U2 360 Degree Tour happens to be the band’s first ever stadium album for a while. To be more specific this is the band’s first ever outing since they released the album entitled Vertigo and went on to the Vertigo Tour in the year 2005-06. This outing entitled the U2 360 Degree Tour aptly follows the release of their much acclaimed album, called the No Line on the Horizon.
As per as the news of their current album is concerned, the band has already topped the charts with the album, No Line on the Horizon. The album has topped charts all through the world including nations like UK, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, France, Finland and Japan as well as in the Czech Republic.

U2 360 degree tour

The Live Nation Global Touring is producing this particular special concert of the band and the concert will be held in a total of 14 cities all across Europe including places like Gothenburg, Milan, Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris, Nice, Chorzow, Berlin and in Gelsenkirchen along with other European cities like London, Sheffield and Glasgow. The tour finishes at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on the 22nd of August. The European tour will then be followed by tours in North America starting with Chicago’s Soldier Field on the 12th of September 12th in 2009.

As per as the band’s frontman Bono he has spoken to the Rolling Stone magazine and the stage for the concert is being set up as an engineering monstrosity that would successfully create a real physical closeness to the crowd. This means that the stage for the concert is being set in such a way that the band would be closer to the audience and fans. U2’s 360° Tour page lets you check out all the virtual blueprints of the concert and there would also be a 360° TV screen that would be hovering over the entire stage allowing the whole stadium to have a great view of the band performing. The band would be performing in the center of the field.

The good news about this special tour is the fact that the prices of the tickets would be ket low. This bit of amazing information has been got from the band’s frontman Bono as he said the same to the legendary Rolling Stone magazine. U2 also aims to keep the ticket prices down for the entire tour. According to the band’s manager Paul McGuinness the European pricing of this tour would be different. He adds that U2 has always been comfortable and has performed their best when they were surrounded by the audience and this concert showcases that feature of the band. When it’s U2 you’re talking about, you can always expect more.
