The band U2 was formed in Dublin and has been in the music world since the late 1980’s. Singing can be done for pleasure or pursue in a formal way. However if you want to grow professionally it is usually better if you concentrate around a single musical genre along with voice training under a voice teacher or coach. This is something U2 has done religiously over the years.

The band usually combines religion and music in such a way such that it leaves a long lasting impression on the person who hears their music and that’s why U2 enjoys such wide popularity.

The band comprises of Bono their lead singer and song writer, The Edge the lead guitarist who also plays the keyboard and lends a hand to the vocal aspects of some of the songs, the bass guitar and drums dept. is headed by Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. respectively.
The band is managed by Paul McGuinness.

The band members have taken part in a number of fundraising events to boost the economies of the third world countries. They have also taken part in many concerts to support causes such as AIDS research, charity and renunciation of violence. The number of albums that this band has released is as follows:

  4. The unforgettable fire released in 1984.
  5. The Joshua tree released in 1987.
  6. Rattle and hum was released in the year 1988.

  8. Zooropa was released in the year 1993.
  9. Pop was released in the year 1997.
  10. All that you can’t leave behind was released in the year 2000.
  11. How to dismantle an atomic bomb was released in 2004.
  12. No line on the Horizon was released in 2009.

U2 Albums

Something about their albums:

  1. Boy: this album was the debut album of the band. It dealt with adolescence and received a number of positive reviews.
  2. October: this album features religious and spiritual themes and questioned the relationship between religion and the rock and roll style of music.
  3. War: this album stressed on the effects and after effects of wars. It generally dealt with the physical effects and the emotional after effects of the war of 1982.
  4. The Unforgettable fire released: this album greatly diverted people attention from the album WAR that dealt with the aspects of the unjust world. However this album featured tributes to martin Luther king and Elvis Presley and was accompanied by atmospheric sounds and soothing lyrics.
  5. The Joshua tree: this album features the bands exploration of gospel music, folk rock and blues rock.
  6. Rattle and hum: this album is livened up by a mix of live recordings and new song titles.
  7. Acthtung Baby: this album was greatly different from the previous album as it made a lot of use of alternative, electronic and industrial influences in their songs.
