U2: Top 10 songs
April 4th, 2009As we know, U2 the band was formed in Dublin in the year 1976 when Larry Muller Jr. put up a notice on his schools notice board seeking musicians for the formation of band. Initially the bands work only consisted of cover versions before they went onto punk music.
Some of their top songs:
The ten best songs of this band are as follows:
- I will follow: this was a song that was the bands first single and it was basically sung as a tribute to Bonos mother. It has the best guitar riffs of that time.
- October: the title song of this album is very good to listen to. The lyrics as well as the sound tracks are very soothing to the ear. The singer Bono doesn’t over sing the song. Thus this is one of the songs that a casual U2 fan should hear.
- Love rescue me: this song is generally a great sounding country ballad that is very good to hear. It starts out slowly and remains at that tempo for about 5 minutes, it is at this time when Bono screams out his feelings, which will make tears fall from your eyes.
- With or without you from the album “THE JOSHUA TREE” was one of the biggest hits of the 1980’s. Although it wasn’t their first song it got for the required acclamation when they were voted as the BIGGEST BAND in the world.
- The fly from the album ACHTUNG BABY was one of the songs that had the greatest work and was accompanied by a rendition of Bono’s new voice sync. This song though it sounded dead was not really meant to sound that way but it did reinvent the bands status in the outside world.
- Exit from the album JOSHUA TREE is a song that deals with emotion and pain is a very interesting way.
- Love is blindness is a song that was written when some of the band members were facing hard situations with their wives or girlfriends. Hearing this song will move you to the brink of tears as not only you can hear the pain coming from the song but you can feel it coming on. This is a great song that is emotionally driven.
- Bad – this was the song that propelled U2 as a household name when they sang in front of billion people (people watching TV also included)
- All I want is you – one of the songs that s a true tribute to a relationship between two sexes, it’s basically a cry for love and beauty.
- Where the streets have no name is one song that has the best intros a song could have. As you listen to the song the blend of music flows as if it were God himself playing. The spiritual theme of the song is one that makes you think of what you are doing before you go on to do it. Totally one of the best rock and roll songs by this band.
